Some Item ideas, and Character Inventory's

*Pokes Brain* Just had an idea for some items, although there nothing special.

More Fishing/hunting/gathering Gear:
Nets : Going to need them to get some of the big fish - 90 Scales?
Knife : For use in skinning/gutting fish. -Perhaps 5 scales?
Fish Basket : For use in holding Fishes (Can make better ones for holding more) - 10-30 Scales depending on how much it can hold.
An Axe : Well, you know what axes are used for...chopping people's heads off. No just kidding. xD To cut wood. -- 10 or 20 Scales
Wood Sling: Almost like a shoulder bag except it holds logs -- Depending on how much it can hold 5 or 10 logs --- 10 or 30 Scales

Inventory Idea:
Well, I saw it on your to do list, I thought I might as well throw in an idea. Just make some inventory board and have a form for it which you fill out

Example:
Character name:

Pack size:

Tools:

Fishes:

Ect.

So what you can do is also sell Inventory packs:

Shoulder bag: Holds 10 or 20 items -- Start with it

Backpack: Holds 40 Items --- 40 scales

Extra Pockets(Only for backpacks): Holds 5 more Items, if needed there could be a limit. - 10 Scales

Saddle pack: Holds 30 Additional items which your creature holds on it's back. --- 70 Scales

I had this random idea when I heard the economy on the news, it's weird how that stuff happens... anyway...
The idea of a blackmarket is a good one, it constantly moves to different towns and places so it cannot be caught by police. And so they don't get in trouble with the police they have a secret code, and travel in caravans. They sell things for creatures of which I have a few ideas for items.

Shapeshift: I'm not quite sure about the name, but I was thinking there could be something you could use to disguise your creature as a normal animal so it can enter towns with you. It should be expensive, so I'm not sure about the exact price, but something around 500- 700 Scale range.

Creature Feed muzzle: Since there are so many different creatures maybe they could have something so that you don't have to stop to feed them, you give them the muzzle fill it with food and your off. Should be around 50-100 Scales, the blackmarket has to make a profit.

Seeing stone: A small blackish blue stone strung on a string to use as a pendent, if you put it around your creatures neck, and one around your own you will be able to know where your creature is as well as know it's thoughts ect. They are sold in pairs, and are expensive as well. 400-600 Scales should suffice.

Anima's Idea:
Saddles to ride your creature/Saddle pack instead of Creature pack. xP That would work because shops wouldn't sell things for creatures.

If I come up with more Ideas I will edit this post. (You'll know what's new it will say *New next to it and it will stay new for two days only.

Hmm... Well if the net is going to be catching bigger fish than those caught with fishing rods, I think it would have to be more expensive than the rods. Perhaps 90 scales? The decent rod is 65 scales... So I think that would be reasonable. Also like the idea of inventories and pack size... Though in the case of creature packs they'd probably have to be more like saddle packs or something... People aren't supposed to know you have an egg/creature, so I they likely wouldn't be selling you stuff specifically for your creature.

... oh! and new I idea for an item -- Saddles! So you can ride your creature

I like these ideas, and I also like the inventory idea(It's similar to what I had been toying with). Your item suggestions are great! ^-^ I'll see about implementing them, probably this weekend.

Shapeshift - I don't really like this idea as an item. I don't believe it would be reasonable to let an item this powerful be infinite use, and if it isn't, no one will bother buying such an expensive item unless they really had to. If it was affordable, then it would make it too easy to just walk around without fear of being caught. It would take the fun out of being on the run from the police.

Feed Muzzle - ... Siren would probably bite anyone who tried to put that on her They aren't livestock... I'm pretty sure they are just as sentient as any human. I guess it can be available, but I would think such an item on them would be a blow to their pride

Seeing Stone - I am also certain that characters already have a telepathic connection with their creatures/eggs without the help of any item, and could probably tell where they are the same way if I am not mistaken...

(PS -- Sorry, I don't mean to sound like I'm bashing just my feelings on the ideas.)

I definitely want one of them backpacks. I mean, it hardly seems safe for the unbelievably precious eggs to just sit in pockets, able to be accidentally crushed when walking down crowded streets. And the saddle packs would be good too.
I have to agree with Anima about the black market items. Shapeshift would make things too easy, feed bags would be insulting, and a seeing stone would be unnecessary. However, a black market is a good idea. Currently there are only poor and decent items, but the real quality stuff could be a bit harder to get. The knives/nets look good, and quite useful if we're gonna be on the run, wanting to limit time in town, and maximize how much we can get out of the wilderness.

Okay, so i've done inventories.

Food items will not be counted in the pack UNLESS people abuse the system(horde food and never have to catch/buy/find any more).

Knives and axes added to Gleb's cart. I'll make some more shops that sell various other items too.

I'm debating about nets and whether they'll be useful. Maybe they can catch shrimps or something. I dunno.

Um, I actually like the idea of a black market. I'll make the board hidden and put the link in a random thread and change it every season or so. I'll be tricky and remake a new thread every time so that no one will cheat and just copy-paste the url. The items that it sells will be expensive, but VERY useful. They will also sell the super-upgraded versions of items in stores(like Fantastic fishing rods that can pulls sharks out of the rivers and super sequoia-cutting axes). Also very expensive.
